Jenelle S. Miller, MD

Dr. Miller grew up in Michigan City, Indiana, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. During college, she was employed as a research technician by the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She then moved to Dallas, Texas, to complete hematology and oncology fellowships at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center before returning to Indiana, which she calls home.

Dr. Miller has over 20 years of experience in medical oncology and in benign and malignant hematology. Her practice philosophy is to provide excellent patient-focused care and individualized treatment to every patient. Dr. Miller believes that by educating her patients about their illnesses, they can take an active role in shared decision-making and in healing. She is not only an excellent educator but also an exceptional listener — two essential characteristics of her patient care. Her patients have honored Dr. Miller through the Caring Angel Program, a program that allows patients to express their gratitude for any caregiver who provided the highest quality of care and strengthened them in a time of need. She was also nominated as a finalist in the IBJ Health Care Heroes Physician category, which recognizes physicians whose performance is considered exemplary by patients and peers.

Apart from medicine, she most enjoys spending time with her friends and her family including her two daughters, her husband and her dogs.

On signing in, I was met with people ready and willing to help. My name was called by a lady named Beverly who proved to be helpful and kind. Her attitude was most calming. Dr. Miller met me a bright cheerful face and attitude. She updated me with knowledge concerning my health and plans for my future exams. My checkout person was kind and very helpful. I walked out of the office with pep in my step. Thank you all so very much. Sincerely, Beverly Griffith

She was my dad’s cancer doctor for years. Dr. Miller and her staff at Logansport Memorial Hospital were awesome . My dad loved all of them dearly. If I ever have cancer I would definitely go to her. Five stars is not enough. Without her and her wonderful staff my dad would have not lived as long as he did.
